We focus on architect-designed, full house renovations across the spectrum of architectural periods and styles with a particular expertise in historic restoration, preservation and adaptive reuse.

Tom Glass, President & Owner
Tom brings his commitment to historic preservation and his training as a fine artist to GCI's approach. Combining these sensibilities with creative and effective management tools has helped him, during his thirty year career, build a team of committed professionals, a roster of satisfied clients and a portfolio of award-winning work. Gary Myers, General Manager
During his 36 years of construction and renovation experience, including both commercial and residential projects. Gary has won numerous awards and accolades in Ohio and in Washington, DC. Transforming ideas and concepts into visible reality is what Gary enjoys most about his work.
Tony Kochis, Project Manager
In his eighteen years as a remodeling contractor and commercial architect in the metro area,Tony enjoys creating things of lasting value and finds that because of his passion for design and building; his projects become an extension of himself.
Brian Cockrell, Superintendent
Brian’s twenty-five years of construction experience, includes work on the Amber Exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Brian has been involved in many of GCI’s award winning projects. Brian enjoys utilizing his problem solving skills to address the ever-changing nature of renovation projects.
Todd Pickell, Superintendent
With eight years of design and renovation experience, Todd was the assistant superintendent on the GCI 2008 National Contractor of the Year winning project and recently managed the renovation of a former residence of John F. Kennedy in Georgetown. Todd is particularly interested in green building practices.
Rizk Chamma, Superintendent
Rizk came to GCI three years ago with a background in finance and computers. Rizk was involved as a carpenter on the 2007 and 2008 award winning projects. Rizk shares the GCI philosophy that the success of a project comes from open communication and collaboration between the architect, client and builder.
Matt Esserman, Acquisitions/Estimating Manager
After 13 years work in fundraising for non-profit organizations, Matt first came to GCI six years ago, where he plays an integral role in the ongoing evolution of all GCI projects. Matt’s work often begins in the pre-construction planning phase, working in conjunction with owners and architects to develop effective project strategies and budgets. His work continues on through the actual construction phase, overseeing permitting, specifications, information management, and procurement activities relevant to tangible construction progress.
